Newborn Massage Classes

Why Newborn Massage?
"Newborn" Massage lays the foundation, for healthy touch and non-verbal communication a parent needs to build a nurturing relationship with their child. It could also be called "healing baby" massage as it is intended to help your little one heal and transition from the warmth and security of the womb to the undefined, often overwhelming reality of the world. Once the foundation is set and the healing period is complete, parents can move onto "Infant" massage, which is meant for little ones over 8 weeks old.  It is recommended parents attend their first class in the third trimester of pregnancy and return within 6 weeks of birth, with their newborn, to review and deepen the skills learned. However, Newborn Massage is an effective way to begin healthy touch with your child at any age.  The class is approximately one hour long and is available in the comfort of your own home, or in a classroom setting with other parents.
