Family Constellation Work
|
Family Constellation Work is a therapeutic process that reveals inter-generational dynamics in a family system and addresses conscious and unconscious entanglements. During the process, these entanglements become conscious, resources arise, and the way to heal them becomes clearer.
I attended my first Family Constellation in 2010, as a representative, and surprisingly had a deep healing regarding my father. The experience stayed with me and the question that arose was this: How can such deep, inter-generational work happen in such a simple and efficient way? In 2015, I attended several Family Constellation circles in the SF Bay Area. I first participated as a representative, then received my own constellation which revealed the roots of a family illness. In 2016, I joined my first facilitator training and began to understand the answer to my lingering question.

One of the answers is honoring the Orders of Love:
- Acknowledging What Is
- The importance of Belonging
- Sibling Order
- Balance of Giving and Taking
- Taking Responsibility and Addressing Transgressions
A Family Constellation takes place in a one-on-one session or group setting, led by a facilitator online or in person. In both forms, the facilitator and client meet beforehand to get acquainted, discuss current issues, and set intentions for the work.
During a group constellation, the client observes as the facilitator asks for representatives from the group and guides them through a process in which unconscious family dynamics arise, and entanglements come to the surface for healing.
A one-on-one session is held online or in person, and the facilitator uses a tableau, symbolic objects, and themselves to represent family members. In both group and one-on-one settings, the constellation often creates an energetic ripple through the client to the entire family system, resulting in new ways of relating to ourselves and our families.

The Family Constellation includes: a 30-45 minute intake session to discuss your family history and set intentions for your constellation, the Individual or Group Constellation and an optional follow-up appointment 4-6 weeks later.
In their own words:
"I was so blessed to receive a Family Constellations reading with Tomi. Tomi was incredible at holding space for me to listen to my intuition and also channeled accurate messages from the energy of each of my family members. Tomi is very intuitive and also makes you feel comfortable to be vulnerable. It was a beautiful process and I could feel how this moved emotions within me and also ancestral energies. I was able to see and understand my patterns and belief systems around the topic of money. After the session, I felt more empowered to write & create a new story for myself. I highly recommend doing a session with Tomi". D.S. 10/22
